Timur Mausoleum
It occupies an important place in the history of
Islamic Architecture as the
precursor and model for the great
Mughal tombs of
Humayun in
Delhi and the
Taj Mahal
in Agra, built by Timur's descendants, the ruling dynasty of North
India.

Timur (1336 - 1405 AD) tomb marker in black. Of special
note is the tomb with a dome of Mir Said Baraka at the head of the constellation
of tombs. Mir Said Baraka was Timur's teacher
